stability in the office
with ergonomics being so important in a space that you spend so much time in, i found this design that incorporated a stability ball very useful. when not in use, the ball helps to create interest through the frosted glass but when needed the stability ball service its purpose of healthy office living.

my room in the attic
its going on two years in my humble attic abode, i have finally figured how to navigate the space without bumping my head, and its almost time to say good-bye. yes climbing up and down the latter, thermostat set at 86 and clothes on racks may have been inconvenient at times but its made for some fun memories and i will miss my corky space.

design shows to look for
while being home for the summer i have picked up on a little more tv than usual but i am loving every minute of it. there are a couple of design shows i am really enjoying.
divine by design on hgtv has always been a favorite of mine but i have lost touch with it while away at college. although i have lost touch, candice has not and the transformations of the rooms are still as spectacular as ever.
a new show, 9 by design on bravo, has caught my eye as well. once you get over the mass amount of children they have, SEVEN, the husband and wife duo are entertaining and inspiring to watch. with the robert’s quick wit and courtney’s get down to business attitude, you can see how this duo uses their same parenting skills to run a design business in new york.
and lastly sarah’s house on hgtv. although i have seen her show maybe twice before i think i have just now caught onto the concept. Sarah buys up a house, renovates the house room by room and each episode the renovation of one room is completed. with her 3rd season in the works, sarah has bought up an old farm house and is making it her own. although there are bumps along the way sarah and her partner tommy deal with any problem they encounter head on and they never leave their sense of humor out of anything.

in search of a bedspread
it seems as though every time i move to a new apartment, which is often more moving than i would prefer, i find myself seeking out a new bedspread. but fresh starts are nice and a good way to avoid acquiring too much junk. my bedspread for this my new apartment was discovered as my mom was leafing through the summer 2010 garnet hill magazine and she pointed it out. i have to admit i wasn't totally in love with it at first site but as the days passed the quilt really began to grow on me and finally the purchase was made. since i am home for the summer, the quilt has found its place on my bed at my parents house but i am still excited for it to brighten my room in the new apartment when the time comes.
